When you’ve been in hell for so long, being able to lead a normal life is simply a gift of life to be grateful for.
You can imagine what it feels like to have a severe skin burn, and not even be able to tolerate a feather resting on it, or the wind blowing over it.
To be realistic, none of this could have been achieved if it were not for my understanding family, I know that not everyone can accumulate silence in their room, that they have bills to pay, mouths to feed, for them, I wish them only the best of luck.

Tinnitus next to hyperacusis is nothing. Patients suffering from hyperacusis would trade anything to stay with just the tinnitus as long as the constant pain caused by hyperacusis disappears.
